Dating fender speaker codes
This 335 was used as a reference color guitar over the years, and has never left the Memphis factory since 2011 until now. For a left handed vintage Strat, this is as rare as it gets!
This is a factory original Left Handed 1964 Fender Strat in the ultra rare custom color finish: Red Sparkle.
Since then the guitar’s neck pickup cavity was cleanly routed for the larger Lollar-built Charlie Christian pickup...
This is an NOS(New Old Stock) ES-335 Dot(1959 Reissue) in Cherry Red with Nickel Hardware.
They just don’t get much cleaner than this example: one of the cleanest vintage guitars I’ve gotten in, similar in condition to a lefty 64 LPB Strat I had 4 years ago. This is a limited edition “Inspired By” Series Gibson Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix Flying V from 2006. The guitar is currently set-up lefty, so it would appeal to the left handed player who wants to experience(pun intended, no problem) the guitar as Jimi would have played it.
The original nut was converted to lefty, and I flipped the bridge around.
It is also known as Metallic Red, and the abbreviation of “MR” along with LH for Left Handed can be seen in the top of the body.
